Solar Impulse has taken off on the third leg of its historic flight around the world - from Ahmedabad to Varanasi.
The aircraft, Si2, has already set a provisional world record for the longest solar-powered flight. It’s on track to be the first aircraft to circumnavigate the globe on solar power only.
André Borschberg, co-founder, will be in the pilot seat for the flight. From Varanasi, the SI-2 will fly to Mandalay in Myanmar.
