Join Google's professional development program for educators - Google Teacher Academy. Google will host it’s first Google Teacher Academy (GTA) in Gurgaon, India on November 27-28, 2014.
The Google Teacher Academy (GTA) is a professional development experience designed to help primary and secondary educators from around the globe, get the most from innovative technologies. It is a two-day event, in which educators get hands-on experience on Google tools, learn about innovative instructional strategies, receive resources to share with colleagues, and immerse themselves in a supportive community of educators making an impact.
Application form for participating in GTA is here. The last day to submit completed applications is September 30, 2014. We are particularly interested in educators who actively mentor or train other teachers using Google technologies.
Educators who are selected to be part of the Google Teachers Academy (GTA), will become Google Certified Teachers (GCTs). GCTs are:
- Outstanding Educators with a passion for using innovative technologies and approaches to improving teaching and learning.
- Creative leaders who understand opportunities and challenges, and have a desire to help empower others in their local community and beyond.
- Ambassadors for change who model high expectations, lifelong learning, collaboration, equity and innovation.
