Namaste Webmasters!
Over the last year, The Google Search Quality team in India has been reaching out to webmasters and helping them understand Google Search and webmaster best practices. We have interacted with many of you in g|days, Great Indian Developer Summit, organized a Site Clinic, and continue to hold regular Hangouts On Air! Taking this one step further, we are excited to announce a ‘first of its kind’ Q&A with the Search Quality Team on Google Plus, exclusively for Indian webmasters.
What does this mean?
It means, as a webmaster, it's your chance to get social with the friendly Search Quality team and get all your webmaster questions answered directly by us!
How does this work?
Our team will take questions over the next one week through a Google Moderator page. We will try to answer as many questions as possible in the following weeks through the Google India Plus page. Moreover, we’ll make our next webmaster Hangout On Air exclusive to the best contributors and they can interact live with the Search Quality team.
How do I submit my questions?
We've set up a moderator page where you can post your questions. While you are at it, don't forget to look at what others have asked and vote for the questions that you like.
How to make your question stand out!
Think of the issues that you and your fellow webmasters have always wanted answers to, but could never find one from a trustworthy source. Give examples where appropriate to make your questions clear.
Since the format of this Q&A is Social where Reshares, +1s, Likes, Retweets etc. rule, do share this post on your Social networks and increase the visibility of your questions! Don’t forget to use the hashtag #gindiawebmaster with your posts.
The Google Moderator page goes live today and submissions will be accepted till the 10th of June 2013.
Stay tuned to Search and webmaster updates, our monthly webmaster Hangouts and more, using #gindiawebmaster on Google Plus!
Update from the Search Quality Team:
We thank all the webmasters for an outstanding response. The moderator page is now closed. We will get back with answers to top issues in a few weeks. We will also host an exclusive Hangout On Air in the near future for the top contributors.
For news/activity on the Webmaster Q&A, use the hashtag #webQnA2013.
